I came to know of this brand via a promotion on Singlife during my birthday month, where I could redeem a first-time cryo clarifying facial for just $40+. Having established themselves over the past 16 years with three outlets across Singapore, I was looking forward to give it a go. At that time, my appointment was at the Wisma Atria outlet, which I coincidentally visited on its last day of operation as it was shifting to The Heeren. Needless to say, I was pleased with the quality of their products and services such that I bought a few packages from them.
Having visited the outlets at Wisma Atria (now defunct), Marina Bay Link Mall and The Heeren, as well as tried out a few variations of facials, I shall share these experiences in chronological order.

- Inclusions:
- 1 trial session of cryo clarifying facial ($42.80)
- 11 sessions of customized aesthetic purifying facial ($941.60)
- 1 add-on of eye and neck treatment ($0)
- 1 trial session of black peel facial ($51.36 waived)
- 21 sessions of black peel facial ($1472.32)
- 1 add-on of CPL face ($0)
- Spent: SGD$2456.72
Wisma Atria outlet (now defunct)
Fiona, one of the therapists with 13 years of experience then, attended to me on my very first visit for the cryo clarifying facial trial session. This was the general flow that took about 70 minutes:
– Brief face and shoulder essential oil massage
– Sonic exfoliator to remove dead skin cells and have cleansing product massaged into my skin
– Extraction (entailed removal of blackheads, which was inescapably painful especially since I hadn’t done a facial in eons)
– Cryo machine (cold serum applied to my face followed by an equally cold face tool emitting blue light – it was a welcome respite from the extraction burn)
– Mask (smelled like calming herbs)
– Serum application
– Sunscreen (I turned this down as I was headed home for the evening already)

I was highly impressed by the level of skill and professionalism from Fiona. As I was still recovering from an injury to the left side of my face, she gently navigated around it so as not to aggravate it. During the facial, she pre-empted me on what was to come before carrying it out, which helped me to brace myself for the painful extraction phase and the icy cold cryo process. She also knew when to speak and when to stay silent. I really appreciated doing away with the small talk so that I could properly relax.
After the facial, she explained how their products are customized to suit Asian skin types and specially tailored for the humid climate in Singapore. I’m no connoisseur so I probably won’t be able to tell the difference, just as long as my skin doesn’t react adversely. Bonus points that the treatment products smelled mild and soothing. I was sold (:

Marina Bay Link Mall outlet
For my second appointment, I had to go to the outlet at Marina Bay Link Mall as the renovations at The Heeren outlet had yet to be completed. It is conveniently located right outside one of the Downtown train station exits so it was a breeze to get to.
This time, my therapist was Ivy. She mentioned that I had uneven skin tone so the microdermabrasion (diamond peel technology) could help with that. The beauty of this customized facial package is that the therapist can flexibly recommend the most suitable treatment from a range of options based on how your skin presents that day.

This was the general flow that took about 70 minutes:
– Brief face and shoulder essential oil massage
– Cleansing product massaged into my skin
– Diamond peel (Ivy noted that I had sensitive skin so she didn’t exfoliate too hard or too long)
– Extraction (it was more bearable than the last time – Ivy kept a good pace of constantly moving the tool over my skin so I never had a moment to really let the pain sink in)
– Super cold soothing gel massaged into my skin (this greatly helped to ease the discomfort from the extraction)
– Thick mask slathered on
– Serum and sunscreen application
Despite the better extraction experience, I did feel that Ivy was rather heavy-handed overall and I preferred someone who used a lot less force. Also, I observed that my skin doesn’t react too well to microdermabrasion as it actually flares up and peels more than usual. Thus, I haven’t gone with this facial option since then.

The Heeren outlet
On my third appointment, a few of the finishing touches at The Heeren outlet hadn’t been put up yet so these photos were taken on my fourth appointment instead. It was then that Fiona introduced me to their latest product, the black peel facial, which is apparently more of a treatment than a basic cleansing routine. I decided to do a trial session since there was a promotional price.
This was the general flow that took about 70 minutes:
– Brief face and shoulder essential oil massage
– Cleansing product massaged into my skin
– Black peel product brushed onto my face (it came in a tiny single-use bottle)
– Shoulder massage (while allowing the product to take effect)
– Extraction
– Eyebrow trimming
– Soothing gel application and facial massage
– Multi-masking system (this basically allows mask effects to be more targeted in addressing the various problem areas at one shot – Fiona applied one type of mask to my oilier T-zone, another type on my cheeks to target dark spots and yet another type on the rest of my face)
– Serum and sunscreen application

Although it is indicated on the website that the black peel facial isn’t suitable for those with sensitive skin (that’s me to some extent), I feel that as long as it’s paired with some soothing or hydrating element, my skin doesn’t react with as much peeling or redness. But if your skin is extremely sensitive, then you might want to reconsider this option.
At all of the outlets I’ve visited, what was consistent was the exceptional cleanliness standards of the bed and linen, as well as the size of the treatment room (not super spacious but sufficient wiggle room to be comfortable). At The Heeren outlet, there is even an option to have the bed heated. I always request for it to be turned up so it gets nice and toasty under the sheets (:

My overall rating of the experience: 5 out of 5 stars. Professional and competent delivery of services, hygienic and comfortable environment, mild-scented products that my skin is generally fine with – Renaza ticked all the boxes for me. In addition, they don’t use the hard-selling approach or any of those guilt-tripping techniques when introducing or recommending products. I personally find the prices here to be pretty reasonable given its repute and facilities, so I’ll certainly be sticking with them for some time to come.
If this post helped you in some way and you’d like to buy me a coffee, I’d be incredibly grateful (:
