I was intrigued by this spa when I read about its unique selling point: that it has treatment rooms coated entirely with pharmaceutical-grade dry salt crystals, replicating the salt mines and caves in Europe! This salt therapy reportedly comes with a whole host of health benefits, as well as keeping the treatment environment clean and hypoallergenic.
This was another one of the gems I found while perusing my Singlife birthday benefits (the first one was Renaza Wellness Facial Spa) and the fact that it was a complimentary facial made it a no-brainer. I had to try it out! They do have other regular treatment rooms but if you want to book a facial in their Signature Salt Rooms, it helps to make the reservation in advance as they’re really popular.

- Inclusions:
- 1 trial session of cleansing facial
- Spent: SGD$0
On the day of my appointment, I was greeted by Violet, the friendly and bubbly manager. She ran through my registration form and asked me what skin issues I would like them to work on. She then handed me over to Joanne, one of the therapists who supposedly has magic hands according to Violet. Before stepping into the Signature Salt Room, we had to take off our shoes and put on disposable covers on our feet. When I entered the room, I was amazed as I’d never seen anything like this – walls and floors all covered in salt. Walking in here felt like treading on sand, very cool.

Once I was done changing out, Joanne proceeded with the facial. This was the general flow that took 60 to 70 minutes:
– Face cleansing and brief face massage
– Face steaming (I didn’t quite enjoy this as at certain points, I felt like I couldn’t inhale comfortably due to all that moisture)
– Oxygen and deep cleansing to soften pores (this was another uncomfortable procedure as it involved running a tool that blew cold, high-pressure air across my face – even though Joanne did try to block the air from blasting at my nose, discomfort was inevitable as I felt it forcefully gush up my nostrils over and over again)
– Extraction (the steam and oxygen really seemed to help this segment as it was a million times less painful than the extraction I had done at Renaza, so I guess I had to endure the previous two segments to reap the benefits here)
– Optional eyebrow shaping
– Gel face and shoulder massage (this was where Joanne’s magic hands took centre stage – her movements were so smooth and fluid that at some point, it felt like she had more fingers than the average human)
– Mask and toner application (strangely, my face didn’t feel particularly refreshed after the mask was washed off and my pores remained angry from the extraction earlier)

After the facial was completed, Violet ushered me to a lounge to share the packages and promotions available, explaining that usually the same therapist will be the one following up to ensure better treatment customization. I appreciated that she respected my decision to not sign up for their packages at that point (it was pretty expensive, with one session costing around $130). She thanked me and passed me the store’s calling card on my way out.

My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars. This spa had an inviting and luxurious set-up along with professional and skillful therapists (Violet truly wasn’t kidding when she said Joanne had magic hands!). Some aspects of the facial weren’t the most comfortable or relaxing though, like the steamer impeding my inhalation and the oxygen blasting air into my nose. Also, I didn’t exactly vibe with the scents of the products but my skin turned out really smooth and hydrated after just one facial (: Plus points that Violet was very welcoming and didn’t engage in hard-selling. I would honestly consider getting a package with them if the prices were a tad more wallet-friendly as that’s probably the main barrier to entry right now.
If this post helped you in some way and you’d like to buy me a coffee, I’d be incredibly grateful (:
