This spa brand is one of the more well-known and established ones in Malaysia, with many outlets located all across the country. My husband and I originally wanted to make a reservation at a Johor Bahru outlet to try them out but it was so popular that they were fully booked the day we went. For this trip, we didn’t want to take our chances again so we made an advanced booking to secure our slots at the Berjaya Times Square outlet!

We initially had a bit of trouble locating the spa as it was tucked away in a corner of the mall on the Lower Ground Floor (LG-55). It is a modestly sized place with a comfortable vibe and clean environment. I opted for the aromatherapy massage while my husband went for the traditional Thai massage. For customers getting the aromatherapy massage, you can select your preferred massage oil scent. I chose “Balance”, which smelled of soothing jasmine, sage and geranium.

Once we made payment, the staff exchanged our shoes for slippers before proceeding to do a simple foot wash for us. As our massage types were different, they were unable to assign us a couple room given that his treatment bed needed to be on the floor while mine was the regular elevated one.

My masseuse ushered me to a single treatment room, and then provided disposable underwear and a shower cap for my use. The treatment bed was just the right level of firmness, plus the towels and linen appeared hygienic too.
During the massage, my masseuse was great at adjusting her pressure to suit my preference (: However, I did feel a little bit of judgement at the end when she cheekily said, “Okay, soft soft for you!” and slapped my shoulders as she left. On the other hand, my husband felt his masseuse didn’t really stretch him out like he expected to be, which was a tad disappointing.

My overall rating of the experience: 3 out of 5 stars. There are definitely more affordable places to go for a massage in Kuala Lumpur but I did appreciate the clean spaces and linen provided. Based on our experience, you may or may not be entirely satisfied with the massage you receive depending on which masseuse you get. My massage was quite okay but my husband felt that he didn’t really get the full stretch he needed. As for the staff, they were polite when interacting with us but their demeanours didn’t convey the kind of genuine warmth you’d typically expect of a Thai spa brand. All in all, it’s unlikely that we’ll revisit this particular outlet but I guess we’re still open to giving the other outlets a shot.
If this post helped you in some way and you’d like to buy me a coffee, I’d be incredibly grateful (:
