Having just finished our omakase lunch at Binchotan, my friends and I were googling for some cafe options to chill at while we waited for our rooms at Capri Hotel to be ready. This particular cafe name popped up in our searches and I recalled hearing some positive reviews about it, so we hopped over to check it out!

- Our order:
- Iced latte (MYR14)
- Hot black coffee (MYR10)
- Iced Callebaut chocolate (MYR17)
- Spent: MYR41
Sporting a cosy white interior, the space felt bright and airy despite the gloomy rainy weather outside. Unfortunately, there weren’t many seats to begin with, so we had to wait for a short bit before we managed to get a table. Although we didn’t interact much with the staff aside from placing our orders, they seemed friendly and polite for the most part.

The menu included small bites like sandwiches and pastries, but given that we’d just came from lunch, we only ordered drinks. My friends got iced white coffee, which was fragrant and full-bodied, and hot black coffee that came with a small chocolate chip cookie. My friend loved the cookie and said that it was reminiscent of Famous Amos cookies, just less cloying. The coffee itself had a smooth texture and wasn’t too acidic. I went for an iced Callebaut chocolate that turned out to be more milky than chocolatey, a ratio I didn’t quite enjoy.

My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars. A comfy ambience in a contemporary, open-concept space that wasn’t too noisy even though it was pretty packed. Coffee was nice but the iced chocolate was more milk than chocolate. If only we had tummy space to try out some of the food on their menu but all in all, it was a wonderful place to spend the afternoon in conversation with friends!
If this post helped you in some way and you’d like to buy me a coffee, I’d be incredibly grateful (:
