After my husband and I were done shopping our hearts and wallets out at Platinum Fashion Mall, we headed over to Centralworld shopping mall to eat at one of the restaurants along the stretch on level 3. This one caught my husband’s eye and along with a warm welcome by Jeet, who introduced himself as the owner of the restaurant, we were ushered to a table inside in no time.

- Our order:
- Signature minced pork with spicy-sour salad and Japanese soft-boiled egg (THB195+)
- Omelette rice (THB65+) with grilled beef (THB240+) and spicy garlic crisps (THB45+)
- Stir-fried instant noodles with shrimps and minced chicken (THB185+)
- Thai iced tea (THB140+ for 2 pax)
- Spent: THB957
The ambience was casual and chic with modern interiors. The furniture was a mishmash of styles, plus there were touches of greenery and random trinkets all around, adding a dash of quirkiness to the space.
Jeet came to check in on us a few times throughout our time here and engaged us in lively conversation, which I felt was a nice personal touch. In contrast, the rest of the staff didn’t leave any specific impression.

We started with an appetizer of signature minced pork with spicy-sour salad and a Japanese soft-boiled egg. We actually requested for it to be non-spicy but that wasn’t fulfilled. It was way too spicy, even for my husband, but the sourness was delectable.

As for our mains, my husband ordered a build-your-own omelette rice (he selected the grilled beef and spicy garlic crisps). The omelette was fluffy but the beef, although seasoned very nicely, was unfortunately on the chewy side.

I ordered stir-fried instant noodles with shrimps and minced chicken. The flavours were delicious and on-point but it was terribly oily and gluggy such that I had trouble finishing it. Chefs in Bangkok are somehow incredibly generous with oil in their cooking, something my stomach isn’t quite suited for.

For drinks, we both got the Thai iced tea (one without ice for me). It was fragrant and milky, exactly what we expected it to taste like.

My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars. I quite liked the cosy and quirky dining environment of the restaurant, with a unique mix of furniture styles and knick-knacks that added character to the space. Alas, the food was a hit and miss for us. Maybe other people might find the extreme spiciness and oiliness a boon, but that certainly took away from our relishing of the dishes. With that said, most food in Thailand is as such and to be fair, everything we tried here was well-seasoned and flavourful. Jeet and his affable personality was much appreciated as well, a welcome dose of positivity to our experience here.
If this post helped you in some way and you’d like to buy me a coffee, I’d be incredibly grateful (:
