After a hot afternoon at Kata Noi beach, my husband and I wanted to find a nice air-conditioned cafe to chill at before heading to our massage appointment at Oasis Tropical Retreat Spa. He spotted this place on Google maps that was a mere 7-minute drive away from the spa, so here we are to check it out!

- Our order:
- Hot chocolate (THB140+)
- Morning glory cold-pressed juice (THB150+)
- Smoked ham dijonaise sandwich (THB250+)
- Grilled ham and cheese sandwich (THB250+)
- Spent: THB829
Stepping inside, we were greeted by a cosy, modern interior with a bright and airy ambience. However, there were a few flies doing their rounds indoors, which was a little annoying.
Known for their sourdough bread made in-house (leavened using sourdough only), the techniques and methods they use apparently result in a healthier bread that’s light and fluffy without losing that classic sourdough chewiness. Most of the items on their menu, which mainly consisted of sandwiches, as well as cold-pressed juices and specialty coffee, include this house-made sourdough but they do sell them by the loaf as well.

We ordered a large hot chocolate (THB140+) and a small morning glory cold pressed juice made with orange, pineapple, carrot and passion fruit (THB150+). The hot chocolate tasted quite okay and was not too sweet while the juice was tangy and refreshing.

I had a hard time choosing what food to order as everything looked super yummy. In the end, I landed on the smoked ham dijonaise sandwich (THB250+) that comprised free range smoked ham, mild cheddar, Dijon mustard, mayo, homemade pickled onions and lettuce. This sandwich was chock full of ham and was just glorious to bite into. Even though the portion looked small, it was actually pretty filling.
My husband went for the grilled ham and cheese sandwich (THB250+), an assembly of free range smoked ham, mild cheddar, mayo and parmesan for a golden crust. This was basically a warm and even more delicious version of my sandwich. Think crispy and salty crusts, melted cheese and succulent ham – this was unbeatable.

My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars. I’m not a huge fan of sourdough to begin with but the ones here truly hit different! The bread was a lot softer and more airy as opposed to being unpleasantly hard to dig into, plus the classic pairing of ham and cheese made the sandwiches simply irresistable. I also enjoyed the open, breezy ambience with natural sunlight streaming into the spaces. Unfortunately, this cafe was not immune to the common flies that plague most eateries in Thailand, which did affect the level of ease I felt in this environment. Other than that, I’d say their sourdough sandwiches, especially the grilled ones, are definitely worth trying!
If this post helped you in some way and you’d like to buy me a coffee, I’d be incredibly grateful (:
