After our first stop at Hoods Coffee Cafe on this Batam cafe-hopping trip, my husband, our friends and I made our way to this next cafe on our friend’s list (: Note that they have two outlets at different locations so do check that you’re headed to the one you have in mind.

The interior spaces here were quite an alluring scene. Natural wood tones juxtaposed with darker wood elements, warm lighting intertwined with streams of sunlight through the large windows, plus little accents of greenery for a touch of nature. However, the ambience lacked a certain sense of cosiness, probably due to the fact that there was so much empty, unused space. You can also opt to sit outdoors as well but as it was rather humid that day, the seats indoors were much more appealing.

My friends ordered some pancakes and waffles, which were presented similarly and tasted like they were made from the same base batter. The texture was soft and slightly fluffy, going very well with the honey, granola and vanilla ice cream.

Having eaten quite a bit from the first cafe we visited, I only ordered a glass of juice. There was the option of mixing the juices so I went for a combination of apple and orange juice. My husband had the hot chocolate that was just the right consistency and sweetness.
The other drinks that our friends got were fairly decent too. The ice dirty milo was nice and thick, the ice lemon tea was okay and the ice salted caramel macchiato had layers of flavours (plus it wasn’t overly sweet).

My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars. A pretty comfortable spot to chill at with nice desserts and drinks. They didn’t seem all too busy at the time we visited and there were plenty of seats to go around, both indoors and outdoors. We didn’t try their mains this time but the menu does look like it has good variety. If we’re back in Batam again, this will definitely be one of our go-to cafes!
If this post helped you in some way and you’d like to buy me a coffee, I’d be incredibly grateful (:
