My husband was searching for a place to go for a head massage and found this outlet near Courtyard By Marriott Hotel Phuket Town where we were staying. It is located in one of the shops in a row of shophouses along Montri Road, a short 5-minute walk away from our hotel.
To secure a reservation, we were required to put a THB1000 deposit but given how we seemed to be their only customers, I believe walk-ins would’ve been possible without the worry of them having no slots. I opted for the 120-minute full-body massage with aroma oil while my husband went for the 120-minute Luna deep sleep therapy. The latter entailed an Indian head massage with warm organic coconut oil, with a focus on the back, neck, shoulders and arms, then ending off with a Hair Spa Nano and blow dry.

- Inclusions:
- 120-minute full-body massage with aroma oil for 1 (THB1290)
- 120-minute Luna deep sleep therapy for 1 (THB1690)
- Spent: THB2384
After lunch at Marni restaurant next door and a brief trip back to our hotel to put down our stuff, we made our way back here. It was a small shop space but the areas we could see looked hygienic. The staff weren’t particularly fluent in English and they had to use an online translator at one point to communicate with us. They were the sweetest ladies though and were incredibly polite (: They changed out our shoes for slippers and brought us a tray of cold towels and iced peach tea. I got to choose my preferred aroma oil scent from four options and went with white tea.

Then, our masseuses showed us to the treatment beds, with curtains as dividers. The bed was of a good firmness, neither too hard nor too soft. I also liked how my masseuse turned the temperature up to 26 degrees on her own accord as it was perfect for me (but my husband said he was perspiring profusely under the blanket, oops). Disposable underwear and shower caps were provided. We didn’t have a foot bath of any sort, our masseuses simply used wet wipes to wipe our feet down while we laid on the bed.
Unfortunately, when it came to their technical proficiency, it didn’t seem up to par. My masseuse was clearly right-handed as there was a very noticeable imbalance of pressure. Also, I felt like there was a lot more pressing on the nerves and veins instead of the muscles, which was rather uncomfortable and almost painful at certain points. Additionally, the oil used wasn’t as “oily” as it should be, so there was still a mild sensation of abrasive friction as she did the long strokes. At one point, my masseuse hiked the disposable underwear up so high that I had to endure a wedgie until she finally moved on to a different limb.

My husband did not entirely enjoy his massage as well, especially the head massage, as his masseuse kept repeatedly pressing on the same spots, which felt quite abrasive on his skin. With that said, the back and arm massages were okay for him. However, the pressure used in general was too light in his opinion.

Once our massages concluded, they brought us back to the reception area and served us hot towels, warm tea and chocolate cake cookies (these were super delicious).
As they were running a Christmas promotion at the time, we were asked to select a surprise scroll from a mini Christmas tree for a perk. Given my generally poor lucky draw luck, I was indeed surprised to have picked a 20% discount off our treatment charges!

My overall rating of the experience: 3 out of 5 stars. I did appreciate that the spaces and linen were pretty clean and hygienic, plus the staff came across as genuinely nice and earnest. Alas, the masseuses lacked proficiency and finesse to deliver their core business well. My massage wasn’t relaxing due to poor technique and lack of sensitivity to the customer experience, and it was also the first time my husband had so much to rant about a massage. He is definitely not going to go back again. Well, at least we managed to shave 20% off the final cost, a minor consolation.
If this post helped you in some way and you’d like to buy me a coffee, I’d be incredibly grateful (:
